Rafael Benitez Wants Liverpool Trio Glen Johnson, Daniel Agger, Lucas

Inter Milan manager Rafael Benitez is now reportedly eyeing on three of his former Liverpool students and is interested to sign them for the next season. Benitez, who parted way with Liverpool recently, wants to give a new look to the ageing Inter Milan squad by bringing in Daniel Agger, Glen Johnson and Lucas from Liverpool.

Considering Liverpool’s financial crisis, a number of European clubs are targeting their players. The financial problem means Liverpool can not re-build their squad by making big money signings and become a force for title bid next season. So, players are also interested to move away from the Merseyside club who finished 7th in the point table last season.

Glen Johnson, despite Liverpool’s woeful performance, was pretty much impressive and a number of clubs are keen to secure his service. Benitez also wants Johnson to follow him at Inter Milan. Liverpool ‘s Brazilian midfielder Lucas and Denmark international Daniel Agger are also in Benitez’s target list.

All of them are young and have enough time to flourish their potential. Moreover, they would not cost Inter a fortune. Reports have it in the media that Benitez is ready to spend around £30 million for the three players. However, Liverpool has not revealed anything about Rafael Benitez’s desire of signing these three players.
