Sony Ericsson Yendo and Cedar are coming to India in September

Sony Ericsson, the popular handset maker announced two new handsets in India- Sony Ericsson Cedar and Yendo. Sony Ericsson is famous for its music phones and camera phones. The Yendo is a full-touch walkman phone. The Cedar on the otherhand comes with lots of social networking features.

Prices of the devices have not been revealed yet. The handsets will be launched in September.

The Sony Ericsson Yendo measures 94 mm x 52 mm x 16 mm and weighs 81 gram. It comes in black, blue, green, orange, pink, purple, red, silver, yellow and white.

The phone has Four Corner touch UI, Touch walkman player, Touch track ID and PlayNow features.

Its MediaGo feature enables user to transfer music to the phone from PC. Some of the major applications include Brick Breaker Rev, Java and Night Club Fever.

It has a 2.6 inch diagonal TFT screen with 320 x 240 pixel resolution supporting 262K colors.

The Yendo sports a 2 megapixel camera with 4X digital Zoom. The phone has 5 MB in-built memory and can be expanded up 16 GB via microSD.

Other features include FM radio, 3.5 mm stereo jack, micro USB connector, Bluetooth A2DP, MP3/AAC tones.

The phone has web browser, chat or email. It also supports Facebook, Orkut, and Twitter.

The Sony Ericsson Cedar supports UMTS HSDPA 850/1900/2100 and GSM GPRS/EDGE 850/900/1800/1900.


The Sony Ericsson Cedar measures 111mm x 49mm x 15.5mm and weighs 84 grams.

The Cedar has a 2.2 inch screen and a 2 megapixel camera with video recording capacity.

Other features include Bluetooth connectivity and HSDPA, Media player, FM Radio, video streaming, YouTube and Access Netfront 3.5 web browser. The Widget Manager 2.0 allows users to easily access social networking sites such as Facebook, Twitter and MySpace.

Cedar has a talk time up to 12 and half hours and a standby time up to 420 hours.
