Sri Devi’s daughter Jhanvi Kapoor is entering the film industry

The Bollywood is abuzz with rumor that Jhanvi Kapoor, the eldest daughter of Sridevi and Boney Kapoor, is going to act in movies. Sridevi was the top actress in Bollywood in the 70s and the 80s. In 1996, she got married to Boney Kapoor. The couple has two daughters- Jhanvi and Khushi.

It is not sure with whom Jhanvi Kapoor would be paired up with. Some news reports said that Jhanvi will be paired up with Akkineni Nagarjuna’s younger son, Akhil in a Telugu movie. Akhil is the son from Nagarjuna’s second marriage with Amala.

In another news report, it is said that Jhanvi Kapoor will be paired with Chiranjeevi’s son, Ramcharan Teja. The movie would be a “socio-fantasy extravaganza” produced by Ashwini Dutt.

In 1991, Ashwini Dutt produced Jagadeka Veerudu Athiloka Sundari, which was later dubbed in Hindi as Aadmi Aur Apsara. The movie starred Chiranjeevi and Sridevi. Now, Ashwini Dutt is going to make a sequel of the movie which will star Chiranjeevi’s son, Ram Charan Teja and Sridevi’s daughter.

It is also said that Ramacharan has been finalized against Jhanvi Kapoor. The script is currently being worked on. Production will start from the second half of next year. Director for the movie has not been finalized yet. It is believed that K Raghavendra Rao, who directed the original Telugu movie will also direct the sequel.

Ram Charan Teja made his debut in Chiruta in 2007. For his performance, he won the Filmfare Best Male Debut Award and Cine MAA Award for Best Male Debut. His second movie, Magadheera, was released in 2009 and went on to become a blockbuster. It became the first Telugu movie to earn over Rs.1billion.

However, Jhanvi’s father, Boney Kapoor, said that it is too early for Jhanvi. She is only thirteen year old and why would she go for a Telugu movie.
