SVNIT admission information get from Internet

SVNIT published its admission schedule of M.Tech and Ph.D. programs. The last date for submission of application is June 30, 2010. Further details of applicants sorted according to department will be published on July 6, 2010. The institution published its M.Tech admission results on June 25, 2010.

Sardar Vallabbhai National Institute of Technology, Surat was established in June 1961. It is one of the twenty National Institutes of Technology (NITs) established in the country at that time. The institution is named after Sardar Vallabbhai Patel, the first Home Minister of independent India. Later, the institute was upgraded to a National Institute of Technology as per NIT Act.

The college of SVNIT has a huge campus spreading over 256 acre of land in Surat. It is located on the Surat-Dumas Highway, in the city of Surat, Gujarat. The institute is situated about 13 km from the Surat Railway Station.

Earlier, the Institution was called Sardar Vallabhbhai Regional College of Engineering and Technology (SVRCET). The institution currently offers seven undergraduate courses of Bachelor of Technology (B.Tech) in all disciplines of Engineering including mechanical, electrical, civil, electronics, chemical and computers.
