TNEA 2010 rank list published on Internet

The Tamil Nadu Engineering Admissions 2010 rank has been published on June 18th.

Through this list students get to know which universities are good in Tamil Nadu. The students would get admitted into B E and B Tech courses offered by various engineering colleges in Tamil Nadu.

Anna University was formed on September 4, 1978 as a unitary type of university. It integrated four technical higher educational institutions in Chennai including the College of Engineering, Guindy and Madras Institute of Technology.

The Guindy College of Engineering was established in 1794. The Madras Institute of Technology was established in 1949 which offered first engineering degrees in India. The university offers higher education in Engineering, Technology and allied Sciences.

Initially, Anna University was named Perarignar Anna University of Technology (PAUT). The name Anna University was adopted in 1982 removing the words “Perarignar.”

In December 2001, the university was converted into an affiliating university. The university covers all engineering colleges in the state of Tamil Nadu. Currently, it has six government engineering colleges as its constituent colleges. In total, the university has about 250 colleges under its fold.
