UP board 10th result 2010 is available on website

On June 1, 2010 UP Board of High School & Intermediate Education published the Class X result. The secondary examination was held in March-April 2010.

The UP Board of High School & Intermediate Education was set up in 1921 through an act of United Provinces Legislative Council. It is one of the first education board in India to adopt the 10+2 system of examination. After ten years of education the first public examination, known as High School Examination is held. After two years the Intermediate examination is held which is also known as the Higher Secondary examination.

The first public examination was conducted in 1923. Prior to 1923, University of Allahabad conducted all the examination.

Currently, UP is the largest examining body in the world. Over the year, due to the increasing number of students, the board found it very difficult to conduct all its activities centrally from Allahabad. As a result four regional offices were built in Meerut (1973), Varanasi (1978), Bareilly (1981) and Allahabad (1987). All the four offices are overlooked by Regional Secretaries. The head office is still located in Allahabad with a secretary as the over all executive head.

The regional office of Ramnagar (Nainital) has been separate from UP board as the Uttranchal has been declared as a new state.

Currently, UP is conducting examinations for 3.2 million students.
