West Ham United Revealed Neymar Interest

West Ham United has joined the list of European suitors for the young talented Santos striker Neymar. Fellow Premier League clubs Manchester City and Chelsea, and Spanish giants Real Madrid are also eyeing on the player.

However, Santos has revealed that they have no intention of selling one of their most prized assets in the next 12 months. Moreover, the Brazilian club has also made it clear that they would not consider any offer less than £28.4 million which is included in the player’s buy-out clause.

Manchester City is believed to be a bit ahead of other competitors in the race of securing the service of Neymar, given the fact that the Premier League club allowed Robinho to join Santos on loan last season.

West Ham United, who was also interested to sign Barcelona’s former Arsenal striker Thierry Henry, is now reportedly tracking Neymar. It seems that the club who finished just 5 points above the relegation zone is now looking to sign one or two experienced quality players or young but talented players ahead of the next season. They have recently appointed former Chelsea boss Avram Grant as their new manager.

Neymar is considered as the new Pele in the horizon, a Brazilian tradition that has seen many emerging young players being compared with former Brazil and Santos great Pele. A highly talented striker, Neymar represented Santos in 35 league matches so far and scored 12 goals.
