Who will replace Kaka in Brazil vs Portugal Match 2010?

After ensuring their second round progress, it appears that the Friday’s match against Portugal has little importance to the five-time world champion Brazil. However, Dunga boys would like to go into the knock out stage with full of confidence keeping hundred percent winning record in the group stage.

However, a win over Portugal would not be that easy for the Brazilians, considering Portugal’s recent sparkling form. Moreover, Brazil would miss star playmaker Kaka following his marching order against Ivory Coast. Now, the question is who would deputize for the Real Madrid star against Portugal.

It would definitely be tough because it is a job which requires creativity as well as physical strength. Brazil, however, has some talented players to play in this role, though they are not as experienced as Kaka.

There is a very good possibility Dunga could start physically strong attacking midfielder Júlio Baptista against Portugal. His stamina and creativity would boost up Brazil’s attacking line up.

However, people may argue by saying that Dunga did not use Baptista in the previous two matches, not even as a substitute. Rather, 23-year-old Ramires was used as second half substitute on both occasions. Ramires is also well-known for his stamina and provides a quality option in the Brazil midfield, but the Benfica star does not possess that much creativity to replace Kaka in the midfield.

Overall, it seems Baptista is ahead of Ramires to start against Portugal. Baptista started as a promising playmaker, but 28-year-old could not flourish his talent to the fullest. Now, it would be a good chance for the midfielder to prove his talent and show his guile for scoring and setting up for the teammates.
