It is very good news for her fans, as Ana Ivanovic has expressed her strong desire to make a strong comeback to professional tennis this summer. She wants get back good ranking as well as win some trophies. The Williams sisters are her source of inspiration.
Ana recently gave an interview to a Swiss magazine. There she talked very frankly about her plan for the next few months.
Currently, her ranking is 64 which surely does not do justice to her. Well, she could not be at her best in the last 2 years because of injury and she is determined to get back to her best.
Ana Ivanovic said in the interview, "It all started with a thumb injury. After my victory in Paris, I was totally motivated and trained like a madman. I often played against men and was on the way to my best tennis. Then came the injury and I lost my confidence."
She also said, "Rankings to be, was a unique feeling. But Grand Slam titles mean more to me - I would love to win another major tournament one. Nearly 15 years after their debut on the tour are the Williams sisters still absolute peak."
The US Open Tennis 2010 is in next month. Before that she has Bank of the West Classic tournament to get some good practice. It will be great if really Ana Ivanovic can make a strong comeback to world tennis in US Open 2010.
