Ashley Cole wants to Join Real Madrid?

Following England’s disastrous World Cup campaign, players have returned home and have now turned their focus on their club career. A number of players are now planning to move away from their current clubs in the summer transfer window ahead of the next season.

Chelsea left back Ashley Cole is now reportedly highly interested to join Real Madrid where he could reunite with his former Chelsea boss Jose Mourinho who is also keen to have his former student at Madrid.

It seems Ashley Cole has suffered a double debacle over the last one month. First, he had divorce from wife Cheryl, and then England was knocked out of the World Cup. It seems both the factors have made him more desperate to leave England, looking for a new start in Spain.

After taking over as the new Real Madrid manager, Mourinho made no secret of his wish to sign Ashley Cole and his England team mate Steven Gerrard. The former Inter Milan manager, in fact, is ready to splash around £50 million to secure the services of the two England internationals.

Reports also have it in the media that Ashley Cole got death threat following the news of his rumored text message to his friends saying “I hate England” was revealed in the media.

There is no doubt, Ashley Cole is currently going through a tough time. So, it is natural that he seeks to get free of these all and wants to focus only on football. However, Chelsea has not revealed anything on Ashley Cole’s desire to join Real Madrid this summer.
