Cristiano Ronaldo: I have Become a Father

Portugal captain Cristiano Ronaldo has revealed that he has recently become a father of a baby boy, but he can not yet reveal the identity of the child’s mother as she does not want it. In a statement published in Ronaldo’s Twitter and Facebook pages revealed this information.

The statement says, “It is with great joy and emotion that I inform I have recently become father to a baby boy. As agreed with the baby's mother, who prefers to have her identity kept confidential, my son will be under my exclusive guardianship…”

The Real Madrid star is considered to be one of the eligible bachelors in the football world. In the past, he was linked with a number of girls from various backgrounds. Now, reports out in the media suggest that the mother of the baby boy could be from United States.

Cristiano Ronaldo joined Real Madrid last summer following a successful stint with Manchester United. He also became the FIFA World Player of the Year in 2007 and is one of the biggest stars in world football today.

Gestifute, the management company of Cristiano Ronaldo, has also ensured the news of Ronaldo becoming father. Ronaldo’s family is now preparing the papers to bring the child in Portugal.

This news must have come as a big source of joy to the 25-year-old amidst Portugal’s shocking exit from the World Cup 2010 after losing to Spain in the round of 16.
