Inter Milan Targets Steven Pienaar

South African winger Steven Pienaar has been a target of European champion Inter Milan. Following his impressive recent form with Everton, Steven Pienaar has attracted the interest of a number of fellow Premier League clubs, but the £15 million tag that the Merseyside club has put on him has restricted those clubs from making any serious bid in their pursuit of securing his service.

Now, it seems Inter Milan is interested to go for the South Africa international who recently failed to guide his country to reach the second round of the recently concluded World Cup.

However, Inter Milan is also facing a problem in their attempt to sign Steven Pienaar. Following Italy’s World Cup disaster, Italian football association has ruled that Italian clubs can buy only one non-EU player for a season and Inter Milan has already signed 18-year-old Brazilian midfielder Philippe Coutinho this summer.

Now, there is a possibility Inter Milan could swoop Steven Pienaar in January under the Bosman rules as his current contract with Everton would expire at the end of the next season.

Well, Everton is also aware of the situation and would not like to let him go at the cost of nothing. They may now be tempted to make some cash in and lower their demand to attract other clubs.
