Oscar Electronics is going to launch dual-SIM phones and low end phones in India

Oscar Electronics is a new brand that is entering the Indian market with its consumer electronic products.

The company is targeting the Indian mobile phone market. At present, Indian mobile phone market is growing at a very fast rate. Many handset makers are releasing handsets in India. Low end handsets have huge demand in the country.

The company will first launch its handsets in the North East of India and will launch ten handsets. Out of these ten models, six have been introduced with N1 and these are the company’s entry level phones. The base model comes with vibration speakers.

The rest four models are introduced with Z1 as its high end phones which are equipped with QWERTY keyboard, fast processor, front back camera, FM radio, MP3, MP4 player, social networking access, and a 1.3 MP camera.

The phones price would range between Rs.1,700 and Rs.4,500.

Oscar has expansion plans for its dual SIM phone and is going to launch all its ten phones in the next two month. Talking about the expansion plans, Suresh Wadhwani, Executive Director, Oscar Electronics, said, “By the end of first year we hope to sell one lakh mobiles per month in North & East India with a turnover of Rs. 250 crores and there after grow at 15-205 annually. In five years we are aiming to reach a turnover of 1000 crores.”

Oscar sees great potential for its mobile phones in India where more than half of the mobile users use low cost handsets.
