Smart Technologies (BD) Ltd. has introduced HP EliteBook 8440p Laptop and Samsung P2450H widescreen LCD monitor recently. The price of the HP laptop is Tk. 1,05,000 while the consumers can buy the Samsung LCD monitor at Tk. 25,500.
In the last 2-3 years, there has been a strong demand for laptops in Bangladeshi market. These days, laptops are available in most of the shops of IDB Computer City (BCS Computer City) Market in Dhaka. There are exclusive shops for Fujitsu and Acer laptops. A few weeks, Laptop Fair 2010 was held in Dhaka and it attracted a sizable crowd.
The same can be said about LCD monitors. Still, most people are using CRT monitors but these days, the price of LCD monitors have become affordable and many consumers are going for them.
