Liverpool had a disappointing last season as they failed to clinch a top-four finish and lost their Champions League place. To add to their misery, manager Rafael Benitez also left the club earlier this summer. However, new manager Roy Hodgson has done pretty well so far. He convinced captain Steven Gerrard and star striker Fernando Torres to stay, while signed free agent Joe Cole and Christian Paulsen to strengthen the squad.

Arsenal has also signed a striker and central defender in the Summer and is now gearing up to start another mission of putting an end to their title draught. The Gunners last won a silverware back in 2005 when they won the FA Cup title.
