Mark Schwarzer desperate for Arsenal Transfer

Australia’s number one goalkeeper Mark Schwarzer has been trying his best to ensure a move to Arsenal from his current club Fulham. He has requested for transfer through email. According to a report of Daily Mail, he is even coming to London to talk to new t Fulham coach Mark Hughes about this matter.
While Arsenal is keen to get this 37-year old goalkeeper, Fulham officials are reluctant to let him go. Arsenal’s coach Arsene Wenger is yet to find a good goalkeeper in the summer transfer market and his initial bid of £2million last month was not accepted by Fulham. Wenger is pursuing this goalkeeper because Mark Schwarzer is desperate to make a move.
Arsenal needs a good goalkeeper this season as in the last season, their top goalkeeper Manuel Almunia performed poorly and inconsistently.
Mark Schwarzer is now 37 years old and this is perhaps his final season to get any kind of glory in club football. Arsenal secured third place in EPL and reached quarterfinal in UEFA Champions League last season. So, Mark Schwarzer is eager to play for Arsenal in search of glory.
On the other hand, Fulham officials know that Schwarzer is perhaps their best player and they are not willing to let him go.
