- Popular Telugu actor, Allu Arjun will be seen in director Gunasekhar’s next movie. “Varudu” means bridegroom.
- After a two-year break, Gunasekhar started this movie. His last movie was Sainikudu.

- Arya 2 did quite well at the box office. In Arya and Arya 2, Allu Arjun plays a guy who loses every thing in love.
- In Varudu, famous Tamil actor, Arya would be playing the role of villain. This will be his first Telugu movie.
- The name of the lead actress in Varudu has not been revealed yet. It will be revealed on March 31, 2010. According to Gunasekhar, the name and face of the heroine has been kept secret because the script demanded it. Gunasekhar basically writes long scripts where heroines also have meaningful roles.
- Varudu has extensively shot wedding sequences. The director specially designed a set to shoot the wedding and brought 100 real families on the set. The marriage episode had been shot for many days.
- In Varudu’s trailer and movie poster, Arjun is shown as the bridegroom wearing beautifully designed turban and jewelry that are worn by kings. At the music launch ceremony, Allu Arjun revealed that he is very much in arranged marriage. He even told his father to look for a girl. His father, Allu Aravind, confirmed that he is looking for a girl.
- Famous lyricist, Veturi Sundara Ramamurthy said that Varudu Telugu movie shows a five day wedding process.
- In early March, while shooting the movie, Allu Arjun fractured his hand and it is a good sign for the movie. It is believed in the industry that when a hero gets injured while shooting the movie, it would be a super hit movie. Allu Arjun’s brother, Allu Sirish posted a message on Tweeter about his brother’s injury.
- In Varudu Telugu movie, renowned director, Singeetham Sreenivas Rao would make a special appearance.
