Pokkiri Raja review

Malaylam movie, Pokkiri Raja has been released in theatres today. It is an action movie that stars famous south Indian movie star, Mammotty. Another movie by the same title, starring Rajinikanth and Sri Devi was released in 1982. It was a Tamil movie.

Pokkiri Raja is the first Malayalam movie of Shriya Saran. In the movie, she has been paired up with Pritviraj Sukumaran. Mammootty has been paired up with Sneha. Pokkiri Raja tells the story of two brothers-Raja and Soorya. Their father is an honest school teacher. Raja runs away from home and eventually becomes a Don. Soorya stays at home becomes local rowdy. The two brothers then finally meet face to face and the rest of the movie shows how the face each other. Pokkiri Raja is a fun filled action movie. The story is simple but the movie is very entertaining. The trailer of the movie became very popular. Many liked the action of Mammootty and Prithviraj. They both look good and Shriya Saran looks very beautiful in her role. The movie is directed and written by Vaishak. It is his first movie. Previously, he worked as an assistant for Joshi and Johnny Antony.

Narain was supposed to play the role of Mammootty’s younger brother in Pokkiri Raja later, he was replaced by Prithviraj. Prithviraj did a number of Malayalam movies. After the success of Puthiya Mugham, he became very popular among the people. In One Way Ticket released in 2008, Prithviraj played a big fan of Mammootty. The movie was directed by Bipin Prabhakar.
