Because Premier League, FA Cup and even Carling Cup matches are broadcast live in South Asia, English football clubs like Arsenal,
There are 3 goalkeepers, 10 defenders, 12 midfielders and 5 forwards in the 30-man squad. So, it is likely that defense and midfield will produce most of the exclusions on 1 June when Capello will announce the final squad.
Among the surprise inclusions are retired
For the central roles in defense, Ferdinand and Terry are expectedly most favorites, while Carragher, King, Upson and uncapped Dawson are also eyeing for the same role in
There are 3 candidates for the left back positions: Ashely Cole, Warnock and Baines, while the competition for the right back position is very less with Glen Johnson being the only contender. Capello may consider Carragher as a makeshift back up for the role.
Creative midfielders Steven Gerrard and Frank Lampard are certain to make the cut for the final 23-man squad, but Capello may find it difficult to sort out the central midfield. With Gareth Barry doubtful over his fitness, Carrick, Parker and Huddlestone would compete for the central role in
James Milner seems to have an edge to go to
Ferdinand has been appointed captain of the side, while Gerrard has been given the role of his deputy.

WTF, they exculde Beckham? How are they gonna win without Becham freekick? I know he tore his Achilles tendon , but he would have recovered by then. Stupid manager.
ReplyDeletebeckham only recover in november
ReplyDeletewhat went wrong? Is Capello mad? What is the use of bringing Jammie back? Why not consider the Neville's brother? or even Downing?
ReplyDeletecapello is out of his mind excluding Michael Owen from the team. He is out of form but the brightest stars shine on the brightest platforms. The defense seems slightly weak. But Joe Hart is in the form of his life. It is to be said that the "DON" has made a balanced squad which without any hurdle can lift the world cup.
ReplyDeleteIs Capello mad? Whats wrong with the dude, how can you have a world cup without Sylvan Ebanks Blake put him up front with Lineker or Shearer and we would be formidable. Now for goalkeepers whats up with David Seamen his been in great form lately in his 5 a side league.
ReplyDeletegood luck for the game... i know guys you will all do the best.....thumbs up!!!!
ReplyDeleteTheo Walcott why take him what can he provide the England squad with. Experience, Skill, Power he has none of these. Hes just a small guy with a bit of pace. Aaron Lennon Englands number one right midfield better than Walcott any day of the week. Now for Victor Moses he may not have experience but he can make up for that will his skill speed and power. Thats my advice for Fabio if he took that England would certainly win the world cup.
ReplyDeleteP.s. Nathanial Clyne is playing great at LB for Palace at the minute.
This is a reply to the person who wrote about Theo Walcott.
ReplyDeleteYou are clearly a Spurs fan who doesnt want Walcott to achieve anything in his career. Lennon number one right midfield you must be having a laugh. On the other hand I concur with your points that both Victor Moses and Nathaniel Clyne should be in the squad.
I have folowed Arsenal FC for my whole life and im a accomplished author, so heres a little poem i wrote about Spurs fans.
