The Haryana State Counselling Society (HSCS) has been constituted by Haryana government under its department of technical education to successfully implement policies for admission and conduct admission tests.

The HSCS is a self sustaining organization. It earns its revenue from counseling fees or examination fees. HSCS also carries out online paperless admissions for various AICTE approved technical courses in Haryana. The agency also conducts statistical analysis of the applicants and admitted students.

In ancient time, Haryana was part of Kuru region of North India. Name of “Haryana”

had been mentioned in the 12^th century AD by the apbhramsha writer, Vibudh Shridhar.

Haryana is bordered by Punjab and Himachal Pradesh to the north and by Rajasthan to the west and south.

The Yamuna river defines its eastern border with Uttarakhand and Uttar Pradesh. Haryana is surrounded by Delhi on three sides and a large area of Haryana is included in the National Capital Region.
