Jay Simpson Told by Arsenal to Leave the Club

Arsenal has asked 21-year-old striker Jay Simpson to move to somewhere else where he would get first team football. A product of Arsenal youth academy, Simpson has failed to cement his place in Arsenal first team.

Over the last few years, Jay Simpson played for Millwall, West Bromwich Albion and Queens Park Rangers on loan, but could not earn Wenger’s faith. Jay Simpson represented Queens Park Rangers in 42 matches scoring 13 goals.

Regarding what Arsenal told to his client, advisor Uben Gray said to the media, “Jay has had discussions with Arsene Wenger and Arsenal. Everyone at the club only has good things to say about Jay, including Arsene, but they appreciate he needs to be playing first-team football. And so they are ready to let him leave, but only if the deal is right for all parties.”

A number of Arsenal players who were not getting enough chances in the first eleven including Philippe Senderos, Fran Merida and Marlon Harewood have left the North London club. Striker Eduardo also seems to be planning to move away from Arsenal in the summer transfer window.

However, that does not mean that Arsenal lacks of talented young players. Arsenal has young players like Ramsey, Nasri, Jack Wilshere and some others who are highly talented and have huge potential.
