Jimmy Bullard Could Join Celtic on Loan from Hull City

Scottish club Celtic has shown interest in Hull City midfielder Jimmy Bullard, but it wants Bullard on a year-long loan deal. It is believed that the 31-year-old player would hold talks with the Scottish giants. Hull City, who has been relegated from the Premier League last season, is also interested to get rid of his wage for a year.

Hull City signed Jimmy Bullard from Fulham spending club record £5 million in 2009. However, he could not make enough impact in Hull City mainly because of his injury problems and the club finished at the second bottom place inn the point table of Premier League last season. Now that, they will be playing in the football league championship, Hull City now wants Bullard to play at somewhere else so that they do not need to bother about his high wage.

Jimmy Bullard never represented England at any level, but he was surprisingly called up for two World Cup 2010 qualifying matches against Andorra and Croatia in August 2008, but he could not earn his England debut.

Bullard was most successful while playing for Wigan Athletic during 2003 and 2006. During his 3-year spell at Wigan, he represented the club in 145 league matches.

It seems Bullard would most probably join Celtic where he would get top flight football. Celtic would also get someone like Bullard who has the experience of playing around 200 Premier League matches.
