Santos Midfielder Ganso Attacking European Clubs

Santos playmaker Paulo Henrique Ganso has been a target of a number of European clubs recently. The 20-year-old attacking midfielder has already been linked with the clubs like Manchester City, Manchester United, AC Milan and Real Madrid.

This highly talented playmaker is now being compared with Brazilian playmaker Kaka and the tag ‘New Kaka’ has already been attached to his name. Following his dominating performance for Santos, Ganso was nominated for Brazilian Football Federation’s ‘Breakthrough Player’ award in 2009 which is awarded to the best new player of the season.

Ganso has already made 38 league appearances for Santos and found the net on 8 occasions besides setting up many goals. He has also represented Brazil at U-20 level.

What is more important is that he has got the skill and talent with which he could dominate in any of the top European leagues in the near future. Manchester United scouts have given green signal to the Old Trafford officials to take necessary steps to sign Ganso.

Signing Ganso would not be easy for any of his European suitors because the player’s release clause demands a huge amount that any of the interested clubs would have to meet. However, anything could happen if Ganso insists a move to Europe.
