Sony unveils VAIO J series Touch All-In-One PC in India

Sony unveiled the VAIO J series Touch All-In-One PC in India. The PC sports a 21.5 inch 1920×1080 widescreen touchscreen. It supports HD video.

Mike Lucas, Senior Vice President, VAIO business, said, “The J Series changes the way consumers interact with their PC enabling them to tap, drag, zoom, rotate, and engage with their content and entertainment like never before. And with its attractive price point, this cutting-edge technology will reach a whole new audience."

The VAIO PCs come with Intel Core i7-620M Processor (2.66GHz), Intel Core i3 and i5 processors. There is NVIDIA GeForce 310M GPU. It has up to 512MB video RAM and Mobile Intel HM55 Express Chipset.

Selected models of the VAIO J series Touch All-In-One PC comes with a Blu-Ray disc drives. It also has Dolby Home Theater technology.

The Sony VAIO J series comes with Windows 7 Home Premium 64-bit. It has a webcam that has face-tracking technology and microphone for video chatting. The Webcam message board software enables user to leave handwritten notes on the screen or create video message.

The machine comes with adjustable standpart, wireless keyboard and mouse. User can stow the keyboard and mouse under the display.

Other features include, Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n, VAIO Care software, VAIO Media Gallery,

and Picture Motion Browser VAIO Edition. The VAIO Care software is used for diagnostics and maintenance. VAIO Media Gallery can recommend content depending the user's listening habit and organize music into 21 channels based on beat, tone, rhythm and other elements.

The PC will hit the market next month through Sony Style online аnd retail stores and other outlets. Interested buyers can place their pre-orders starting from June 14, 2010. The base price starts from $900 and goes up to $1500.
