HP unveiled Pavillion dv6 and dm4 in India

HP unveiled two new redesigned HP Pavillion notebooks in India. The HP Pavillion dv6 and HP Pavillion dm4 comes with many new features.

The HP Pavillion dv6 measures 37.8 cm x 24.5 cm x 3.08 cm / 3.6 cm (max H) and weighs 2.45 kg. The notebook comes with powerful Intel Core i3-370M processor with a 2.4 GHz clockspeed and Intel HM55 chipset.


The dv6 has a 15.6" diagonal HD LED display with 1366 x 768 resolution featuring HP BrightView technology.

The HP Pavillion dv6 comes with standard 2GB DDR3 memory and can support up to 8 GB. Other features include- 1 VGA port, 1 HDMI port, 1 stereo headphone-out, 1 microphone-in, 4 USB 2.0 ports (4th shared with eSATA port), 1 eSATA and USB port, 1 RJ45 ethernet port, 5-in-1 integrated Digital Media Reader, HP TrueVision webcam and Altec Lansing speakers.

The base price of HP Pavillion dv6 starts from Rs. 35,300.

The HP Pavillion dm4 measures 34.08 cm x 22.8 cm x 2.5 cm/ 3.22 cm (Max H) and weighs between 1.989 kg and 2.018 kg.


The HP Pavillion dm4 is powered by Intel Core i5-430M Processor with 2.26 GHz clockspeed and Intel HM55 chipset. The notebook comes with 3 GB DDR3 memory which can be expanded up to 8 GB DDR3 memory.

The dm4 comes with 500 GB SATA HD drive and SuperMulti DVD±R/RW with Double Layer Support. It is run by a 6-cell Lithium-Ion (Li-Ion) battery.

I/O ports include- 1 VGA port, 1 HDMI port, 1 stereo headphone-out, 1 microphone-in, 3 USB 2.0 ports, 1 eSATA + USB port, and 1 RJ45 ethernet port. The dm4 also has 5-in-1 integrated Digital Media Reader. The base price starts from Rs.46,400.
