Joy Bhattacharya: Kolkata Knight Riders wants Pakistani Players in IPL 4

Kolkata Knight Riders CEO Joy Bhattacharya has strongly stated that his team wanted the participation of Pakistani players in season 4 of Indian Premier League (IPL). Mr. Bhattacharya said to a Pakistani TV channel the participation of the players should not be based on nationality but on their performance.
Joy Bhattacharya said, "It shouldn't matter which country they belong to. But we want to be in a position where we can sign on the best available players.
We have signed an MOU with Irfan but so far the IPL franchises have not been told about any policy regarding participation of Pakistani players in the IPL."
Recently, Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) signed an MOU with an upcoming young Pakistani talent Muhammad Irfan. So, KKR officials are keen that this new player can play for them in IPL season 4.
Pakistani players participated in the first season of IPL but then, they were barred mainly because of the political tension between India and Pakistan. Former Pakistan captain Wasim Akram is a bowling coach for KKR and it was he who instrumental behind the signing of MOU with Muhammad Irfan.
In the last 3 seasons of IPL, KKR had disappointing results.
