Acer’s dual-screen laptop with 15-inch display will be available early next year

The notebook looks a little similar to Toshiba’s recently released Libretto W100 apart from the size. The Libretto W100 sports two 7 inch screens whereas Acer’s offering more than doubles that with two massive 15 inch screens.

Acer develops duel-screen laptop which comes with two 15-inch displays. Compared to the recently released Libretto W100, it has little resemblance apart from the size. The Libretto W100 features two 7 inch screens, which are half the size than Acer’s offer.

As the dual-display laptop comes with two big touchscreen displays, so it has no physical keyboard. However, one of the screens will be used for viewing or what we can call it as a display while the other screen will be used for multitasking including virtual keyboard and Trackpad.

Both screens would be able to receive multi touch input and it would also support drawing gestures for special tasks.

Most of the users are still not habituated of using virtual keyboards and one of the problems is the lack of tactile feedback whilst typing.

The lack of physical keyboard would be one of the biggest problems for users to type fast, but it would not matter too much for those who look at the keyboard keys whilst they type. It seems the lack of physical keyboard would be a major obstacle.

It will run on Windows 7 and include an Intel Core i5 2.67 GHz processor. There is possibility to change before launch.

If it releases the market next year then it will be the biggest ever dual-screen notebook ever so far. Let’s hope the battery life and cooling systems are up to scratch.

However, much information has not been found about the dual-display notebook. It is thought that the price of this device will be reasonable so that limited earner can buy it.

Moreover, besides a full-sized keyboard, it also provides dual touchpad for the users. That means there is a touchpad on either side of the keyboard.

Regarding the launch of Asus NX90 laptop, Alex Huang, the Country Head for System Business of Asus in India, said to the media, “With the NX90 we hope to give notebooks the world over a new definition and place. Initially, we would be marketing our product primarily in major metros like Delhi, Mumbai, Chennai and Kolkata.”

Asus designed the NX90 laptop with the help of David Lewis, the chief designer of Bang and Olufsen. Among other features the laptop has NVIDIA Geforce GT 335M graphics, a 2 mega pixel webcam and an amplifier.

Overall, Asus NX90 is a highly configured laptop that is not for general or basic users. The price seems to be a bit high considering India’s price-sensitive market. However, given its features, it looks to be a perfect one for the high-end users.

India, as the emerging market, is an attractive destination for consumer electronics companies, especially laptop makers. Over the years, laptop sales in India grew leaps and bounds.

Except few big cities, people in other places do not get adequate electric supply in India. What is the most Expensive Laptop in The World?

In another blog, I wrote this entry 3 years ago:
I just noticed that there are 37 comments in this entry. It shows that many people are interested about this kind of information. Well, I just wrote about the most expensive and cheapest. OLPC is undoubtedly the cheapest laptop. However, the emergence of netbooks by companies like Asus and Acer has perhaps made OLPC almost irrelevant to the ordinary consumers. In fact, now, most people don’t bother about OLPC in the western countries.
To come back to the topic, he most expensive laptop does not have anything significant except the fact that there are some diamonds. So, you can easily guess that the price of $350,000 is mainly for the diamonds not for any computing feature. I really don’t care to have one even if I become insanely rich. In fact, there are other things to buy like rare paintings not the most expensive laptop.
Rich people have weird taste and companies take advantage of this matter. There are so many hungry children in the world that I really cannot understand that how a person can get any mental satisfaction by spending this amount of money for buying a laptop.
