Shahrukh Khan is the new king on Twitter

Shahrukh Khan is not only the king of Bollywood but he is also the King Of Twitter.

Recently, Shahrukh Khan’s Twitter follower crossed more than 400,000 and the first person to congratulate him on his crossing 400k mark was none other than Bollywood legend. Amitabh Bachchan.

Amitabh Bachchan wrote, "Shah Rukh congrats! You crossed 400,000... meri gaadi thoda dheeli chal rahi hai..."

Shahrukh in his Twitter wrote, “Hey thanks all 400,000 & more of you, soon we can start our own small country. Send me the name for it tomorrow...”

This was followed by many suggestions from fans and Amitabh Bachchan was also one of them. He wrote, “How about – “KINGDOM”, taking up from your own popular and deserving epithet of KING!”

Shahrukh Khan was a bit embarrassed he then wrote, “Oops how dare I, didn’t realize you would be online & reading my pretentious attempts to create a kingdom. This is embarrassing.”

Shahrukh then also came up with a name for Bachchan’s kingdom, he said, “I have a name for your World Mr. Bachchan. The United States of Great Bachchania, thanks for letting us be a part of it sir. Love & health to you.”

Though Amitabh Bachchan is not at his best shape, he is one of the most popular celebrity on Twitter of his generation. Currently, Mr. Bachchan has 1,00,240 followers. He joined Twitter only a week ago.

After Shahrukh Khan, the second most popular celebrity on Twitter is Sachin Tendulkar. He has already reached 362,650 within a few months and could surpass Shahrukh Khan pretty soon.

Salman Khan already joined Twitter and he currently has 1,53,294 followers. Though his language is not always clear but his fans are enjoying his messages.

Shahrukh Khan’s one phone call saved a marriage

Even a phone call can save a marriage especially, if the caller is some one like Shahrukh Khan. The Bollywood Badshah is very busy clearing up his IPL mess and his upcoming project, Ra. 1. In the middle of all this, he received a very emotional letter from a man named, Kandula Subramaniam, who lives in Gurgaon. He and his wife, Krishnakoli Dutta, have been living separately.

Their relationship turned sour and Subramaniam tried every thing to win her back but nothing worked. Then it came to Subramaniam that Krishnakoli is a big fan of Shahrukh Khan. Subramaniam, in desperation, tried to contact Shahrukh Khan.

He found Shahrukh Khan’s email address and wrote a heartwrenching mail describing his marriage and his relationship with his wife. He requested the Bollywood superstar to help him to bring back Krishnakoli.

Though a super busy man, Shahrukh Khan took out time to help Subramaniam. On May 18, 2010, on her birthday, Krishnakoli received a phone call which came from none other than her favorite Bollywood hero, Shahrukh Khan.

Shahrukh Khan wished Krishnakoli Happy Birthday! and then earnestly requested her to give another shot to her estranged relationship with Subramaniam. The actor was very cautious as he did not try to invade her privacy or make her angry.

After hearing about her relationship with her husband from Shahrukh Khan, Krishnakoli was very much surprised. She at first thought some one is playing jokes on her but then she understood that it was Shahrukh Khan for real.

Krishnakoli promised Shahrukh Khan that she would try and make things work with Kandula.

Sounds very FILMY but it is a true story and Shahrukh Khan did not disclose the story. Times of India reported it because Kandula Subramaniam used to work for the newspaper once.

Shahrukh Khan admits of growing old

Shahrukh Khan is the top actor of Bollywood. Though the year 2009 had been disastrous for him, the year 2010 has been a success. My Name is Khan did pretty well at the box office. Shahrukh Khan is now happy. In an interview with Zoom, the Bollywood Badshah talked about his life and his clash with Salman Khan.

Now days, Shahrukh Khan is not doing too many movies. Initially, he joked that he wanted to give other actors enough space but Shahrukh Khan admitted that he has grown old. His injuries are causing lots of problems. He wants to work more but then he does not have the energy. Moreover, he is now spending time with his kids and family.

Akshay Kumar is now in Farah Khan’s next movie. When asked about how he feels about it. Shahrukh Khan said that he has no qualms about it. Shahrukh Khan said that his movies are very much important to him and he also likes the people who work with him. He spoke highly of Farah Khan and said that Farah never told him to work with any actor.

Regarding his relationship with Aamir Khan and Salman Khan, Shahrukh Khan said that Aamir Khan misunderstood his humor but now it is not a problem. Regarding Salman Khan, Shahrukh said that he does not talk with him and they are fine with their differences.

My Name is Khan: Is Shahrukh Acting Impolitely in its Promotion

It is clear that Shahrukh Khan is trying his best to promote his upcoming movie My Name is Khan. There is nothing wrong in it. He is a top actor of Bollywood and his professionalism is praise worthy. However, I did not like his strategy in the grand premiere of Hollywood movie ‘Avatar’. It is directed by James Cameron and produced by FOX. Shahrukh Khan was present in the premiere like many other Bollywood celebrities. In this program, SRK hardly said anything about the film Avatar but mainly talked about his upcoming movie My Name is Khan.
I think that it is not professionalism but impoliteness. The media is always eager to get anything from top figures like SRK. He can give as many interviews to as many newspapers, TV channels, websites and FM radio stations he wants about My Name is Khan. However, he should not try to take away the attention of another movie. This is really unethical- at least to me.
I think that other Bollywood actors and actresses should not follow SRK and instead try to come out of this kind of bad strategy. Unfortunately, Vivek Oberoi and Vidhu Vinod Chopra did the same thing.
